Ever since the first time I played Ocarina of Time, Malon just stood out. Somewhere along the line, I just romanticized her. Whenever I think of a serious pairing in OoT, Malon and Link are the perfect pair, in my eyes. A hard, dedicated worker, compassionate, beautiful singing voice, and gorgeous, yeah, what's not to love?


I'm sensing a farm girl pattern here. I suppose it might be that I like the beauty of nature, and girls who associate themselves with it make me all dreamy eyed, but to be honest, I really can't think of any logical way to deny the love between these two. Old friends who become lovers? Hot, not to mention, the best kind of love. Sure, you could go out and meet someone who you are attracted to, immediately go into dating mode, only to find out that you can't hold a relationship with them, or you could go with that person who's been with you through many rough spots throughout your life. Link and Ilia have that history, and the love between those two in cut-scenes throughout Twilight Princess just illuminates like a burning sun to me.


Ah, Shad. My favorite nerdy little gay, or at least metrosexual, character. ... Wow, just wow.
